Not a name swap
What you tell us becomes the story.
Their favourite places, animals and the things they’re growing into are written into the pages, so they recognise themselves in every scene.
Their favourite thing: building blanket forts
“He had used every pillow in the house to build the walls, and a big blanket to make the roof. It was the best fort ever.”
Their favourite animal: foxes
“It had clever black eyes, a fluffy body, and a tail that ended in a tip of pure, warm lantern-light.”
Something to grow into: kindness and courage
“‘It’s okay to be scared,’ Alex said, his voice quiet but clear. He took a brave step forward.”
